There were several from our graduating class in attendance at Jeff's memorial service and fellow classmate Brett Andrews did a great job officiating the service.

It made for a very sureal experience though.  Even though many of us hadn't seen each other in years there was something about how a group of high school friends came together to mourn the loss of "one of their own" made it one of the most moving experiences in my life.

Ending Jeff's service with Van Halen's "Happy Trails" was absolutely the perfect tribute for him.

Jeff was one of my closest friends during our time at Memorial.  I'll never forget all the times he would be passionate about re-creating David Letterman skits by dropping large objects from the top of the Memorial stadium into the parking lot below.  Bags of flour, watermelons, a turkey, and many others fell prey to Jeff's enthusiasm.  It was a privilege for me to know Jeff in this life.  I hope he finds peace in the next.

Brett, I didn't realize that Jeff actually followed through with his Letterman re-enactments!  Jeff, Rich McLure, and I had a daily discussion in Dan Call's first hour music theory class, senior year, of the previous night's Letterman episode.  It was a delightful way to start each school day.  Watching that final episode last month made me think of those two guys and inspired me to find Rich online.  Was so glad to see that he's spending his life as a musician.  Sent him an email and hope he will respond.  -I'd reconnected with Jeff when Susan Clark died in the car wreck and when he first started up on Facebook.  He was gone so suddenly; I'd never heard that he was sick.  He'd have been so stoked for the 30-year reunion.
